About the Role
This is a rare opportunity for a lawyer with solid licensing experience to join a leading commercial law firm and work alongside a well recognised leader in this field. This busy 8 strong Licensing team act for clients that include, pub chains, restaurants, bars, hotels, festivals, sports venues, retailers and insolvency practitioners . Work is diverse and interesting and the successful candidate will be tasked with running their own case load which will involve them in complex matters including, preparation for and attending hearings before Local Authority licensing committees, preparing for appeals, preparation for and attending reviews, dealing with interviews under caution and working alongside the partners in the team to give strategic advice to clients.
About You
Candidates are sought with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience ideally from another recognised licensing practice. You will be an excellent communicator and used to dealing with clients on a daily basis. Advocacy skills, whilst not essential, would be helpful. Our client would welcome applications from those working in house, perhaps in the leisure industry or for a local authority, with the relevant licensing experience. Those with a mixture of licensing and regulatory experience would also be of interest.
